Dear Parent/Guardian:

As a parent of a child attending the Carlisle Local School District, you now have the capability to view your child’s grades, attendance, and academic progress using Progressbook, our new electronic grade book system. To access Progressbook, you will need to have an active Internet connection and a Web browser, preferably Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher.

Each parent will have a unique username and password to access their child’s academic performance in a class. If you have more than one child attending school, you will also have the capability to link all of your children to one account for added convenience. For privacy and security reasons, your username and password are included only in this letter, which has been mailed, rather than being sent home with your child.

 Progressbook will also contain an email link to your child’s teacher should you have questions or concerns about your child’s academic performance in any class. However, we would kindly ask that before you email a teacher concerning an assignment that has not yet been posted by that teacher that you allow the teacher ample time to grade, record, and post scores and homework assignments to the Web. As a general rule, teachers will try to update all grade books on a weekly basis. To access Progressbook, do the following:

   Go to http://parentaccess.swoca.net. Do this by typing this Web address (URL) into your browser’s address bar. Do not type www in front of the URL. You can also find this link on the Carlisle Local School District’s Home Page www.carlisle-local.k12.oh.us

 

2.    Click on our school. After accessing the parent access page, click on our school logo.

3.    Enter Username and Password. You will now be prompted for your username and password. Later, you will have the ability to change them to something more meaningful. Both  username and password are case-sensitive; please type them exactly as shown below (capitalize letters where necessary). After you’ve typed the username and password, click the Login button.



 

4.    Update your contact information. Change the first and last name from your child’s name to your name as shown at the right. Please provide your email address. If you forget your password, a new one will be sent to the email address you provide here. Click the Save button when you are finished.

 


















 


5.    Change your Login Name. Your username can also be changed. You can change your login name by clicking on the Change Your Login Name link at the left side of the window. In the Current Login Name: field, type the username given to you by the school and type your current password into the Password: field. In the New Login Name: field, type your new username and click the Save button when finished.
 
6.    Change your password. The initial password provided may be difficult to remember. You can change your password by clicking on the Change Your Password link at the left side of the window. Type the original password provided in the Current Password: field. In the New Password: field, type a password of your choice. Type this new password again in the Confirm Password: field, and click the Save button when finished. Please record this new password and keep in a secure location.



 


7.   
Link all children to one account. If you have more than one child enrolled in the Carlisle Local School District, you will want to link them to one account. Click on the Link Additional Children to this Account link at the left side of the window. It will ask for the Login Name and Password of your other school age children. Once you’ve typed this information, click the Link button. You will need to repeat this procedure once for each of your children, not including the child you started with. If you have three children enrolled in school, you will need to complete this procedure twice.
 
8.   View your child’s attendance, homework, and progress. You can view your child’s attendance history, homework assignments, and progress report by clicking on the appropriate tabs on the top right of the window.



 


9.  
Logout. When finished with Progressbook, click the Logout tab on the top right window. You can then close the window normally.
