I grew up in this area, graduating from Carlisle High School in 1975. Following four years at Miami University, Ohio I received my Bachelor degree in Education.  I became employed in 1979 at Carlisle Local School. In 1984, I completed my Master's degree at Miami University in Curriculum and Supervision. In the last several years, I have been able to complete 30 hours above my master's degree taking classes from University of Dayton, University of Cincinnati and Loyola University in Chicago.

During my 28 years of employment at Carlisle, I have been nominated for "Whose Who Among American Teachers" five times. Also in 1991 I was nominated and received the "Warren County Teacher Excellence" award.

I now reside in Springboro, Ohio with my husband Willis of 23 years and our daughter Emma Kate.
